About this printout
This page prints Mini #358 (Wednesday, September 23, 2026): a 5×5 grid with two black squares and ten clues, five Across and five Down. The site's navigation and footer are left off the printout, and so are these notes.
Solving on paper
Paper has no Check button, so write lightly where you're unsure. The shortest slot, 1-Across, has only four letters, so it's a good place to start. The shortest clue is 5-Across, “Old MacDonald's refrain”, at three words; the longest is 5-Down, “Currency used in France and Germany”, at six words. None of the ten clues is a fill-in-the-blank, a quotation, a question-mark clue or a marked short form.
When you've finished, compare with the answer key for September 23, 2026, or open the hints if you get stuck. Prefer a screen? Play it online. The day before, Mini #357 (September 22, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Enthusiastic, like a big fan”; the day after, Mini #359 (September 24, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Flying mammals of the night”.
