About this printout
This page prints Mini #357 (Tuesday, September 22, 2026): a 5×5 grid with two black squares and ten clues, five Across and five Down. The site's navigation and footer are left off the printout, and so are these notes.
Solving on paper
Paper has no Check button, so write lightly where you're unsure. The shortest slot, 1-Across, has only four letters, so it's a good place to start. The shortest clue is 3-Down, “Absolutely perfect”, at two words; the longest is 5-Across, “Took a position in an argument”, at six words. None of the ten clues is a fill-in-the-blank, a quotation, a question-mark clue or a marked short form.
When you've finished, compare with the answer key for September 22, 2026, or open the hints if you get stuck. Prefer a screen? Play it online. The day before, Mini #356 (September 21, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Sculpture of a head and shoulders”; the day after, Mini #358 (September 23, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “A soak in the tub”.
