About this printout
This page prints Mini #329 (Tuesday, August 25, 2026): a 5×5 grid with two black squares and ten clues, five Across and five Down. The site's navigation and footer are left off the printout, and so are these notes.
Solving on paper
Paper has no Check button, so write lightly where you're unsure. The shortest slot, 1-Across, has only four letters, so it's a good place to start. The shortest clue is 7-Across, “Foe”, at one word; the longest is 3-Down, “Last letter of the Greek alphabet”, at six words. Clue types to watch for:
- Ends in a question mark: 4-Down, “One playing on a console?”
- Marked as a short form: 6-Down, “Wall Street exchange, for short”
When you've finished, compare with the answer key for August 25, 2026, or open the hints if you get stuck. Prefer a screen? Play it online. The day before, Mini #328 (August 24, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “In the middle of”; the day after, Mini #330 (August 26, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Coffee ___ (a single one of these makes a cup)”.
