The longest answers are LEGOS (5-Across), IRISH (7-Across), PALEO (8-Across), RERAN (2-Down), AGILE (3-Down) and NOSES (4-Down), at five letters; the shortest are BRAN (1-Across), NEST (9-Across), BLIP (1-Down) and SHOT (6-Down).
The grid uses thirteen different letters. The most common are E and S, in three squares each, and 9 of the 23 squares hold a vowel (A, E, I, O or U). There’s no J, Q, X or Z in it.
