About this printout
This page prints Mini #361 (Saturday, September 26, 2026): a 5×5 grid with four black squares and ten clues, five Across and five Down. The site's navigation and footer are left off the printout, and so are these notes.
Solving on paper
Paper has no Check button, so write lightly where you're unsure. 5-Down, “Ready, ___, go!”, is a fill-in-the-blank, often the quickest way in. The shortest clue is 7-Across, “Distinguishing characteristic”, at two words; the longest is 4-Across, “Sounds a car horn makes”, at five words. Clue types to watch for:
- Fill-in-the-blank: 5-Down, “Ready, ___, go!”
- Marked as a short form: 1-Across, “Managed-care plan, in brief”; 8-Across, “Tender loving care, in brief”; 4-Down, “Sandwich with bacon, in brief”
When you've finished, compare with the answer key for September 26, 2026, or open the hints if you get stuck. Prefer a screen? Play it online. The day before, Mini #360 (September 25, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Have ___ there, done that”.
