About this printout
This page prints Mini #337 (Wednesday, September 2, 2026): a 5×5 grid with six black squares and ten clues, five Across and five Down. The site's navigation and footer are left off the printout, and so are these notes.
Solving on paper
Paper has no Check button, so write lightly where you're unsure. The shortest slot, 1-Across, has only three letters, so it's a good place to start. The shortest clue is 1-Down, “Got started”, at two words; the longest is 4-Across, “Twelve inches make one, and you have two of these”, at ten words. None of the ten clues is a fill-in-the-blank, a quotation, a question-mark clue or a marked short form.
When you've finished, compare with the answer key for September 2, 2026, or open the hints if you get stuck. Prefer a screen? Play it online. The day before, Mini #336 (September 1, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Vampire's pointy tooth”; the day after, Mini #338 (September 3, 2026), opens with 1-Across, “Grub, informally”.
